As for RED states … I wonder which one is worse: Arizona or Grouchy’s Kentucky!

You know that here in Phoenix, our “equivalent” of the Funky Monkey seattle rock station is “Big Red Radio,” Arizona’s Real Rock.

Big red? Well, perhaps they meant the SIZE of Arizona – Arizona IS one of the very largest red states, if not the LARGEST! Certainly larger than Kentucky.

As for politics here, both the Democrats and Republicans are horrible. I’m somewhat Libertarian by default. The biggest problems are that there’s an income tax, a high sales tax, and Arizona is a right to work state.

Hope is always on the horizon, since Colorado and New Mexico, fellow large red states, just turned blue in 2008!

The crazy, populist tax-cutting initiatives AND the economy have taken their toll. This ain’t Pat’s fault. She is left to deal with a HUGE mess caused by de-regulation and tax-cuts nationally and the Eyeman effect locally. I would MUCH rather have someone like Pat at the helm of this sinking ship that Shawn Bunny.

Pat’s goal as Executive is to maintain a “stable government.” Jesus this country’s in trouble.

Growing up, elected officials declared war on poverty, drugs, terrorists, illiteracy….now they declare their intention to not dissolve.

I have heard that about ziegler too. He is Sarah’s biggest booster. I also heard that when he showed up at his little event and saw the quality of the “protesters” and the small number, he jumped into a cab and split. SO much phoniness.

actually it was a Katie Couric event, not Hillary Clinton, she was being honored and Ziegler thought she was unfair to Palin..

I think that event was one of John Ziegler’s gimmicks, he is a big defender of Palin, use to be a talk show host on KFI in LA, now on KGIL a low signal station in LA, he made a video on “How Obama was elected” claiming “liberal media bias.” Search engine him on the web. He had a “sour grapes” website about his former employer KFI on the web as well.
He was handcuffed and led away from USC, after he tried to disrupt a Hillary Clinton event. He is always trying to get some free PR for his CD and himself.

Hey Kay! It’s GREAT to hear from you again. Sorry I haven’t been around much, busy busy. Funny how abortions SOAR in this country every time the evangelitards take over. The birth control message is abhorrent to these nut-jobs and vast increases in STDs and abortions result. I read a book by a guy named Yancy that had a great quote. (I’m paraphrasing) It read, “When Christians try to pull God down to Earth, they usually wind up pulling Satan up from hell”.

Personally, I think rich (yes there are a few)progressives should start their own network and turn it over to real, adult radio professionals to run and promote it.That way, there would BE no shows going dark like the many hosts who either gave up, or were forced out. Randi is doing something new. She’s been picked up by a huge company and is trying to prove that there IS a market for what we do.
I haven’t heard a word from my friend who knows him regarding Basham.Thanks for visiting.
